Use a Course Map Template

A course map is a document that is helpful in planning the structure of your course before you start to organize it in Moodle. A course map helps you ensure the critical components of your course – the learning objectives, materials, activities, and assessments – are aligned. Also, a course map, if you decide to share it with your students, provides students with a visual representation of how everything they do in your course has a purpose, and what that purpose is.

How to get started

Follow these steps to make an editable copy of the template for your own use.

  1. Make sure you log into Google with your NC State account.
  2. Access the Course Map Template Google Doc.
  3. Click File from the top menu.
  4. Select Make a Copy.
  5. Name your file.
  6. Select a Folder in “My Drive” to save the copy to.
  7. Click the Make a Copy button.

You may now edit your copy of the template to reflect your own course.
